The idea began between two sisters, Angela Robinson and Sharon Robinson, that grew up and lived on the same street “Elm Street” from birth until they went their separate ways. Great minds think alike so they collaborated and came up with an idea to give back to their community, you see serving others is what we were created to do. We attended our 4th through éth grade years at the Carver Elementary School which we purchased and decided to renovate into a community center along with a close family friend, Randy Williams. It has been a journey but God would not have brought us to it so we have the faith that he will see us through it. My sister and | were both diagnosed with breast cancer, | was diagnosed first in 2010, then Sharon in 2011. We both are survivors, but my sister went home to be with the Lord on April 08, 2015, exactly a year after we purchased the school, so we have the Pink Diamond as 8 symbols and recognition of our fight. My mother, Rosie Robinson, told us that we were precious jewels, so what is more precious than a diamond?
With the help of others and the community, we plan to make this journey together. Coming together for a common goal; which is to have a safe place for all to enjoy. from the youngest to the most seasoned adults, we will have programs daily for their convenience. Help us help you by serving each other because the greatest Love is inside each of you. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your mind. This is the first commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37)
